Chiesa di San Giuseppe

This is the parish church of Pigna. Despite being on the margins of the district, it is easily reached from every part.

It lies close the wall, with the apse actually protruding through it, in an area unwanted by the building expansion of the surrounding neighborhood.

The first proposals in relation to the construction of a church in Pigna date from 1666, but in 1668 the town council authorized the plan which was fulfilled some time later, after 1684.

The works were managed by a master mason from Sanremo, Gio Martino. On the other hand, the 18th century refurbishments are significant.
